Andrew K. McIntosh (USA) :
I am an engineering student and bought this computer for college next year. I have had positive experiences with Sony products in the past and was hoping for good results with this one. I should have heeded the two other reviews on here warning of wifi issues, because I had the same problem. Out of the box, the wifi worked for about an hour, then stopped working. I updated drivers to no avail, and even re-imaged the hard drive to try to fix this. No matter what I tried, the wifi would continue to drop out after a minute of connection. Perhaps if I spent another two weeks looking for a fix as another reviewer did I might have eventually found an answer. However, it's up to you whether you want to preserve your sanity looking for a solution. I have since returned this computer and am typing this from an ASUS S400ca DB51t, which is running without any hitches so far.

Seiji Hayashi (Hyattsville, MD) :
Aside from the horrible Windows 8, the computer functions pretty well (speed, stability, functions). I tried Skype and the camera did not work. After spending 2 hours on the phone with customer service, they asked me to ship the computer back to Sony. They fixed the camera, but the shocker was how poor the camera quality was. The maximum resolution is 1.0 megapixel. This means it's a grainy picture with poor color and lighting. I should have looked at the specs better before buying, but I assumed that Sony would not have this type of issue. It's all over the internet how poor the webcam quality is. In today's world, a webcam is essential. I would not buy this again.

Wanhsing Lin (MA) :
My image of Sony products is very positive and pricy. My daughter loves the looking of this Sony laptop although there are reviews mentioned WiFI issue on this model. so we go ahead to buy this laptop and hope we are not the 50% of unlucky buyers to get a laptop with bad WIFI. In the first day, WIFI sometime worked, But most of time it did not work. In the second day, WIFI did not work. Return this unit and plan to buy other brand.

This computer has ONE major flaw......it loses internet availability all the time. The computer itself is fantastic but when it drops your internet feed every 15 minutes it becomes worthless. Do not order.....from what I know now is that most if not all Sony computers have this issue. Can't believe Sony would let something like this happen and not fix before releasing it to the public.

B. Scollon (Rochester Hills, Michigan USA) :
I Love the color and the huge hard drive. Unfortunately, it is quite heavy but I do like the built in DVD drive and that's the necessary trade-off.
Although I've worked with computers for 30 years, I am confused by Windows 8. To get to the things I've used in other operating systems takes extra steps. I've heard an update is due out soon and I'm hoping that will help.

Jadmo99 "Mo B" (CA) :
I just had to have a pink computer. I built one on the Sony site but I found the one on Amazon was a better deal. I've only been using it for a few weeks and I like. No real complaints other than I'm still trying to get use to mouse-pad area. Sometimes, I get frustrated and just use the touchscreen; and the only issue with the touchscreen are the fingerprints.

john (California, USA) :
I bought this vaio brand last year and after 4 mths, I got the fan noise problem. It is really heavy noise that it irritates me alot. I am a computer science student who chose Vaio over Mac and I have alot of Sony products with me. But this one is a disaster. I even took the laptop to a Sony tech to have the fan changed, but it did not solve the noise and overheating problem. very disappointing.

Cynthia A. Mederos (Lake Worth, Florida USA) :
When I got the first one, there was a problem with the dvd drive. (Not loading programs, returned). Got the second one and there was a problem with the Battery/charger.. It was plugged in but the battery status said plugged, not charging. The percentage was at 50% and not going up.) decided had enough and returned to Amazon for refund. The laptop has nice qualities but the hardware issues were dissapointing.

L. Alarcon "Kdizzle" (California) :
This is laptop has been a headache for me since the day I bought it. I wanted to returned it but they wanted to charge me 15% to do so. This was the biggest mistake of my life. I had to call Sony Customer service which is the worst in the world like a 100 times. It was first with problems with the hardware and then with overheating problems.
Today, 16 months later after I bought it. The computer's click bottons on the mouse pad do not work and so dont other sofwares programs on the computer.
Please do yourself a favor and do not spend a cent on this computer.

Dhananjay Atre (USA) :
This is very good quality laptop. It boots pretty fast and is quite responsive also. However it is a bit too noisy. The noise is continuous and is irritating particularly in silent surroundings. That also makes it sound like a poor quality laptop. The keyboard and touch pad are very nice. I am dissatisfied only due to the noise. I read a similar complaint about the noise in a higher end sony vaio ultrabook which is in the price range of $1100. Such an issue is not expected from sony.

Alicia (Boston) :
I've only had this laptop for a week, but so far I'm in love! I've never had a Sony laptop before, but heard they were great. This one is the perfect size for me to take traveling, or just using it at home. One thing I will suggest is getting a keyboard skin or cover for it. White keyboards have been known to get pretty nasty after a little while! Just a suggestion :) It's very fast and has great resolution.

Robert Richardson "Spargel" (TN) :
Sorry AMD dual core, weak graphics and limited RAM along with thoroughly poor Win 8 make this combo stink to high heaven. I have had cell phone perform better than this thing and the BIOS is blocked so you cannot remove the utterly useless Win 8 and use Win 7 or Linux. Paperweight class of computing...

Diane (USA) :
I just received this laptop today, and I am blown away at how amazing it truly is. This computer runs very quickly and the keyboard and trackpad are great. I'm not the biggest fan of windows 8, but after playing around with it for a few minutes, you get used to it. This laptop is just the right for a college student or someone who wants another portable computer for everyday use. The backlit keyboard is great if you want to use this computer late at night but don't want to turn on another light in the room to see. Overall, this computer runs smoothly and seems to be great quality for a low price. I would highly, highly recommend this computer for regular tasks!

waMom (NY) :
This computer is not only adorable it is speedy and very functional. This is my second VAIO and I swear by them. You will not find something more reliable especially not for this price. It is perfect for watching movies, surfing the net, and storing music/books etc. If you are a gamer obviously you will need a bit more than what this pc can offer but for everyday uses, this is really just the absolute best computer!

Adam (MA) :
I bough this laptop as gift for my cousin, i tough new windows will be cool, but its not. Its way to complicated, slows the laptop down and it take for ever to set up all the accounts. Vaio it self is nice product but not with that junkie windows!!!!!

Lauren (MA) :
I've only had this laptop for a couple of days, but so far, I'm pleased. Windows 8 was a bit of a challenge to navigate, and unfortunately the laptop comes preloaded with a lot of unnecessary add-ons that are time-consuming to remove, but that's pretty standard for any laptop. It runs quietly, does not get hot even after several hours of continuous use, is quick in terms of surfing the internet, and does a nice job streaming videos via Netflix, although the video quality is not impressive. The built-in camera is convenient and useful, but the resolution is low, so keep that in mind if a clear, high-quality webcam is important to you.

J. Booth (Iowa) :
Loved it at first, except for Windows 8 when I first received it, but I knew the Vaio was loaded with it when I ordered it. It took a while to get the laptop updated and running the way I wanted, but I had settled into a familiarity with it when about 3 weeks into use it started putting out a strong burning odor. I shut it down for a while and restarted it later in the day. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with it. It appeared to be operating alright. 2 days later after using it for a short time it would not start back up after taking a lunch break. It would try to boot up, then it would give a disk read error message and say it would attempt to fix it and that it could take a while. It never would repair itself, just showed a black screen. I don't know what happened.. Maybe I received a lemon. Amazon just sent a replacement. I'll update as time goes by.

Shadrach Tavares (USA):
I Purchased this laptop and it arrived with no issues. However 2 weeks into what i would term as medium to light medium SAFE use. I began getting these blue screens saying your pc has ran into problems collecting data. And it would restart. Upon restarting it would say no operating system found. So I would turn off and turn on again and after about 3 turn ons it would restart and boot (sometimes into recovery/repair mode). Now one occurrence can be over looked. But this began to happen more frequently. I tried refreshing the pc. Reinstalling windows from the windows 8 options. Nothing worked. Now its completely nuked and wont turn on. Where and how can i get this problem solved?

Michael King (Freeport, Texas, USA) :
Great value for the money and has everything we need. Is a replacement computer for a family computer and the portability was the key need here with good features. The touchscreen takes the need for a mouse out and makes for a much more suitable work experience. Thanks.

Reem (USA) :
I had my ultra book just a couple of days ago. It looks really nice and slim. it is considerably light in weight. Wifi is faster than ipad2. Windows 8 is easy to get used to and friendly even if you are an apple products user like myself. The only thing that I don't like that the ultra book was reduced by $100 few days after my purchase.

Hasan Ozcan "H.OZ" (MA) :
After a few months of use, I had to send it in to Sony and they replaced the hard drive. Mouse pad does funny things, it doesn't move when you want it to move. Also, sometimes it just start doing things itself. Opens and closes the programs. My previous Vaio, I used it for 5 years without a single problem and still running. But this one, dissapointed me very badly. I am not sure if I would buy another Sony vaio.

Dave (Chicago, IL United States) :
Great laptop, I read some reviews online and on here about it citing a less than desirable processor speed. But really when it comes down to it, with three or four programs running its still pretty fast. Its great for a student, papers and projects are a breeze, with multiple chrome browsers open and even my DJ mixing software.

The Potato King (Littleton, MA USA):
I bought this laptop for my fiance, so she could play world of warcraft with me and this laptop handles it with ease, no lag in game while raiding or doing dungeons and questing. im planning to buy one for myself, i rate this product 5 stars. I also use it to duelbox the two accounts and have no issues with this product, i am very happy with my purchase and i plan to buy one for myself. 5/5 stars

D. Jones "little baby bug" (valdosta, GA USA) :
I'm not one of those tech savvy types with an overinflated sense of entitlement, so I'm very happy with this little computer. It holds a charge for six hours and I can take it anywhere in the house, (or world for that matter, unlike my 10-year-old desktop which is full of viruses and all of our crap.) I use it for word processing (sold separately), and general internet: Blogger, Facebook, the library, recipes, Pandora, Signing Savvy, and other work related stuff. On a Grandma note: you can use the keypad to adjust text size which is a plus for those of us who now wear bifocals. That, and you can entertain small grandsons with captivating train videos on YouTube. It's not meant to be a powerhouse computer, and I didn't need a powerhouse computer, so I am very pleased with this product.

Joseph C. Klope Jr. "Chet" (Hillsdale, NJ USA) :
Purchased for an employee. She is loving it so far. The touch screen seems like a little bit of a gimmick, but she reports that she uses it all the time (Windows 8 feature). Pretty loaded machine and it is highly possible I will buy another for myself in the near future.

Eduard Jimenez "Edd" (Flower Mound, TX United States) :
Excellent ultrabook, everything I need and more, beautiful screen, large storage, intuitive touchscreen totally recommend this computer, very good building materials, Sony computers in my experience always been an excellent choice.

CT "CT" (California) :
Pros: Boots up quick, backlit keyboard, good sound out of the speakers, touch screen, HDMI out, Can charge devices via USB when off.
Cons: Hardware conflicts and issues in device manager (network) after Vaio update, Sony website hard to navigate to find a fix, graphics could be better when using Video Chat, Battery runs out fast.
Recommendation: Not a bad computer, but wish I would have replaced my old Mac with a new Mac, but figured I'd give a PC one more shot.

Adrián Zambrano (Atlanta, GA USA) :
The kit comes with what is stated in the specification sheet. I hated the mousepad because the clicking is not smooth.
It is a very fast machine but I have problems booting from USB. You have to read a little more about the UEFI.
It has 4 USB ports. Two of them are 3.0 (one supporting USB charging). The other two are USB 2.0.
Another problem occurred when installing virtual machines. VMware Once installed, when you create a virtual machine, the system reboots. Hopefully someone can help me with this.
In short it is an excellent buy, but will be updated as the operation with other operating systems.

Matthew Kerestesy (Somewhere near Washington DC, United States) :
I'll keep it simple, I don't know when Sony finally started making good computers but I'm glad they did. This thing is a beast. My only complaint is the touchpad is awful and it would be nice if the screen either rotated or folded flat. But the guts in this thing make it an exceptional computer for the price and it sure is pretty too.

Gpat65 (CT) :
The Sony VAIO Fit Series 14 inch Core i7 Touch Laptop is a great laptop. First of all I love the backlit keyboard so that I can use the laptop in low light. The laptop is very quick to start and goes into instant sleep mode when closed. For my simple needs such as email, Facebook, Amazon and checking my bank account it is quick and responsive. The touchpad works just fine but sometimes I prefer to use a mouse. The screen is sharp and clear and of course I can make the print larger by just a touch to the screen.I do enjoy using the touch screen with all the options that it offers. I am very pleased with this product.

Tafan (FL and CO) :
This is a really good laptop. It is a laptop, not a tablet, although there are certainly times the tablet functionality is rather handy. As a laptop, it is great. Very fast, in all respects. The high resolution screen allows a great deal of information to be on the screen at once (eg excel columns) even thought it is a relatively small screen. So you have the best of all worlds, a small device, with a very useful screen for doing real work. Once you are used to the mouse mechanism, it works as good as any track pad (although, like every laptop I have owned for 10 years, I keep a wireless mouse handy for when I am at a table or desk). The small keyboard is NOT too small, you can type on it as well as any other keyboard, and I have big hands.

Ivan Geerlings (Bonaire Netherlands Antilles) :
works super easy never new this could be built. screen is beautifull . System is fast and very light. i used to use my asus 700 transformer but now it is all covered with dust

Damon Black (Las Vegas, NV) :
I've had this computer for about two months and it has met all of my expectations as far as speed, functionality, and battery life. I can play music through my bluetooth headset for over four hours while other programs are running in the back ground (streaming from pandora, downloading large files, etc).

Ed from the snow belt (WA) :
I debated spending close to $500 when there are so many laptops in the $400 range, but am glad I did. It was pretty easy to set up and the HDMI port is great for showing the internet on my TV. It is much lighter than my previous laptop. Note to those of you with email that uses a POP server -- Windows 8 email app does not support POP servers. But I found Mozilla Thunderbird and it is working out fine. The interface is similar to Microsoft Outlook.

Shelim A .Choudhury (Mentor, Ohio) :
About one week after I got this laptop, it started crashing and getting the Blue Screen of Death. I've had it for a month and a half now and it's been getting worse. I contacted the Sony representatives and they gave me a few ways to fix the problem. I hope it works, but I would rather have not gone through any problems at all. Also, the webcam is of horrible quality. I played around with the settings and it's still very grainy and captures almost no light. The mouse keeps freezing, too. I have to uninstall and then reinstall the driver for that. The outside of this laptop is beautiful, but the inside is clearly not. I hope Sony will help me out with all of my problems.

Suoemi Koroye (US) :
For the price that I got this laptop, it's a very good one. I expected there to be glitches or disappointments, but it has everything from the windows 8 software, to bluetooth. The only slight issue I have is with the webcam, but I don't really use it\

This is an awesome laptop , very well built , very fast. Everything you need in a laptop . The desing is superlative and has a very useful touchscreen to make your work more pleasant . Try to buy this model in black because of the keyboard light , there is more contrast and it is easier to write .You will love this laptop and it's an excellent investment . The screen resolution is also very good . It looks and perform like my old 1200 dls notebook , much better .

Mb (Fayetteville, NC United States) :
I bought this laptop here, on Amazon, and everything about the purchase process was great. It actually arrived a day earlier than estimated, so no complaints there. I was able to connect it to internet right away. I like the whole appearance, it's a very good looking laptop. The keyboard feels very nice and the touchscreen is very responsive. The computer is fast enough for what I do, which isn't much though. I check my emails, read some newspapers, a little bit of Facebook and sometimes watch a TV show or a movie. I also use Skype to keep in touch with my family. Which brings me to the reason I only gave it 3 stars: the internet drops off sometimes and I know it's the computer, not the actual internet. It doesn't last long, only for a minute or so, but it's enough to interrupt my calls. It's really very annoying especially considering that you pay almost $200 more than you would pay for a different brand.

Sailorgirl222 (Raleigh, NC) :
I have owned laptops by Dell, Gateway, and Toshiba and this is by far the worst laptop I have ever owned. Started having problems day one. I was on the phone daily with Sony support for one problem or another. First, the wi-fi connection always said limited. Whether I was at home or in a public place, it had trouble picking up a connection. I have two other computers in my house and neither one of them have wi-fi problems, so I know it isn't my router. As a result, I was constantly kicked off the internet. Then I realized that none of the tiles worked. Every tile I clicked on said "app cannot be opened or app not available." Then the computer would not shut down or restart. The Sony technician gave multiple suggestions and nothing worked. Finally she told me I needed to either send the computer for repair or return it where I purchased it. I promptly returned the computer. I had the laptop 8 days and had this much trouble. My eight year old Toshiba hasn't had the first problem. Guess I'll buy another Toshiba. I will NEVER buy another Sony.

great screen, nice slim design, i had a glass of water beside my vaio and my cat knocked it over... the water went all over the keyboard. i immediately turned it off and used dry tissue to soak up what i could. i let it sit upside down for 2 hours and water was still slowly dripping out of the keys, and it still works like new! I LOVE IT!!!

LISA L THOMPSON (CHICOPEE, MA, US) :
Like the features of the laptop (this is my first) but the battery life really sucks only seem to get a couple of hours on it. Not a good choice if you travel a lot and depend on the battery lasting for you flight

Zoe Martin (NJ) :
This was a horrible experience from someone who usually raves about AMAZON. I am so upset that I had to write a review. I ordered 2 different laptops. The first came and could not hold a charge. Returned and reordered thinking it was a glitch. NOPE. Second package arrives and it was banged up. The laptop was in a box barely bigger than it with a tiny amount of brown paper wrapped around tit. OK?? Seriously? A $800 laptop and your saving maybe $10 on packaging it correctly. The inside box was also banged up, so I knew I was in trouble. Sure enough the LCD is broken - the only way to get a clear, clean picture is to hold both sides of the screen with your hands. Only problem - how do you use your laptop if both hands are busy holding the screen. I am hot, livid, and never recommending AMAZON again!

Alejandro "Alejandro" (Illinois, USA) :
THIS IS NOT THE VAIO FIT 14.
Perhaps due to some confusion on Amazon's end (or else deceptive practices) this product has been mislabeled as being the Vaio Fit 14-inch variant. This is actually the Vaio Fit E 14-inch variant. This E (basically for economy, or entry-level) means this is slightly fatter and made of matte plastic. This true Fit 14 laptop you'll find on Sony's website is a much more professional, thin aluminum-frame laptop. In truth, Sony should take some of the blame for naming two laptops made from totally different materials and components so similarly (Fit/Fit E) but I just wanted to warn anyone else before they purchase the incorrect laptop.

GA (USA) :
I had to give it one star in order to post this but it deserves a zero. I bought this at bestbuy and it does have Wi-Fi defect. I have installed every driver known to man including the new ones recommended by Sony. it will not stay connected to the internet. You have to restart the PC to get a reconnection. It is a piece of junk: Buyers beware.

J. Rejoso (MA) :
Got one for my daughter last July and still waiting for Sony's fix on the built-in wi-fi. Tested it in 3mbps Manila, in 100 mbps Tokyo and in 20 mbps Houston - and it just sucks everywhere! I am seriously contemplating on buying that $22 Intel WiFi Card and request Sony Service Center to replace that horrible Broadcom wi-fi chip, or perhaps I can pay a 3rd party computer shop to do it for me. Last resort, I can probably do the replacement myself with the proper tools.

Methodman  (Southern Hemisphere) :
I have had this laptop for over a year, and I absolutely love it. For its price range, it has by far the best keyboard available, great battery life, and a responsive touch pad. Also, Sony Vegas and Sony Acid come standard, which makes this computer perfect for video and audio editing, and the Blu-ray drive is really useful. The only complaints I have are that the screen isn't great, especially in high light areas, the speakers are only slightly above average (this isn't really a complaint, but considering Sony makes a lot of audio equipment, I had hoped for better), and some of Sony's pre-installed programs can get annoying (I just turned them off). All in all, this is a great computer, and I highly recommend it to anyone, especially people who will be typing a lot.

R Busy b (OH, USA) :
Windows 8 is such a headache, I hardly know if the machine is worth anything. How can you give a good rating on something you can't use? I haven't had the time to figure this out, and it sure doesn't work like anything I've used before. I don't know how to open and close programs or use them once they're open. It keeps doing things I don't expect and is totally out of control. I should never have bought this with windows 8.

Dlgagne (Arizona) :
Bought it brand new had to get the hard drive replaced withinin one day. Then the cd rom needed replaced since they realized it didnt work while replacing the hard drive. Then lost all power to it. Haven't been able to use it yet and its been over a month. Extremely disappointed will never buy sony again.

I was worried about core i3, but it's not slow with Windows 8. The look is amazing, the brushed aluminum on the cover is really gorgeous!! I miss some things like backlit keyboard but for the price this notebook is fantastic. I recommend it. Ah, dont buy a Windows 8 notebook without touchscreen !! W8 was design for touch...

Sheldon M. Fialkoff "shellman" (Lakewood, NJ) :
The laptop is beautiful, but too new for me to evaluate totally. I am fumbling through Windows 8, and all the other oddities of this machine. I am sure all will work out fine, eventually.
Ordering the laptop was a 'snap' and it arrived just as promised, which is par for Amazon.
Presently, I plan to continue being a happy customer.

Anonymous (London, UK) :
For a laptop at this price, I would expect it to work. I had it for six months and from the first week I had problems. It suddenly became slow, crashed all the time, the camera, the touchscreen, and the keyboard would randomly decide not to work for days. And while I was using it the other day the screen randomly went black and I haven't beeen able to use it since and I can't get my documents or pictures that I need off of it. Sony's customer service is the worst ever. They will only do repairs and they refuse tt do replacements even though repairs take weeks and I am a student and do not have time to go without a laptop for that long. I will NEVER buy another sony product again after all of this frustration. Save your money, time, and frustration and go with a different company.

Stephani C (Portland, OR) :
I had this computer for 4 months and the hard drive crashed one day with no warning. Sony has done little to help and it has to be sent out to be fixed. I have NEVER had such a upsetting issue with a computer so quickly! I will never buy a sony computer again. It was such a waste of over $700.00. Grr. Save your money and buy a Macbook!

Katydid79 (New York, NY) :
I love this computer EXCEPT for the fact that 2 of the USB ports are located at the bottom right hand corner of the machine. Basically, into the space where you would normally be putting your hand and moving your mouse around. So your hand is literally blocked by the any wires that are coming from those ports (including the mouse). Think about the logic here: the mouse wire is in the way of the mouse! Couldn't they have put the ports at the top right corner of the computer? I would have reviewed this computer at 5 stars, but the wires are SO annoying that I'm knocking off a two whole stars, just for that.

Monique V. (Virginia Beach, VA) :
I received this computer and in the 2 months that I had it the hard drive crashed, worst of all while i was doing a HW assignment. I had to send it back to Sony to get the hard drive replaced!? Then when I got it back of course everything I purchased was deleted off (Microsoft office, virus software) How crazy that would happen right? Mind you I take excellent care of my computer so it was no fault of my own I just assume I was sold a lemon, I still had all the original plastic on the laptop when it crashed so I sent it back basically brand new. Thank god i had just purchased an extended warranty like a week prior otherwise id be even more SOL lol so What I've learned from this experience personally don't buy electronics on amazon, others experiences hopefully varied.

Danny Z (Venezuela) :
I bought this laptop before it was released so I wasn't really sure of what it would be, fortunately it is a nice and stylish laptop it has a great perfomance, really fast, so far it works great for my basic homework and university work (matlab, R, C++..etc), any complains about it. It's a pain in the .. to get used to windows 8 but once yo get used to it the whole thing it's pretty easy to enjoy. It was a good purchase in terms of price/specs because I don't needed an ultra fast jet/laptop. It "fits" perfectly for my needs.

Lola LaFosse (MIAMI, FLORIDA USA) :
My last laptop was a VAIO that lasted me a long seven years, so this brand was my go-to when it was time to upgrade. I didn't realize it had a i3 (instead of i5) processor until I ordered (because.. apparently I can't read, so) but it hasn't seemed to make THAT much of a difference in functionality. Main pro, for me at least, with this upgrade, is the battery life. With the right settings, this thing goes for HOURS.

Danielle James (Inglewood, CA United States) :
This product is good, the only problem I have is trying install softwear, for my printer to connect but other then that it cool, the speaker is nice you could hear clear sound, and the apps that window8 provide is pretty cool. and it is fast.

Matt (Sunset Beach, NC United States) :
The screen will automatically dim/brighten when not hooked up to the power charger. All settings for this feature were disabled, however the device would continue to dim/brighten by itself. The dimming/brightening process was very jittery and slow and was a massive distraction. Sony was unable to fix the issue, and even replaced the laptop with another, which also did the exact same thing... I would avoid this product until they fix this issue, since this really is an upper end laptop.

Wayne Ogburn (Sunset Beach, NC United States) :
I now have my third solid state hard drive replacement and a new motherboard..in the previous model.
Dealing with Sony just to get the unit repaired is a pain. This last time, they put the wrong drive in (smaller) and it crashed after the third boot. I am a Techie from the '80s and I am pretty hard on computers, but my Mac's never performed this badly.
Mac's cost a bit more but they are reliable. The Sony Vaio's are suppose to be the Mac's of the PC world but they don't measure up.

TJ Hopkinson (Michigan, USA) :
I will keep this short and simple; I have never utilized a worse laptop in my life. Bought in December 2012 this computer has had to be sent back to Sony 2 times for new hardware (motherboard, HDD, keyboard, you name it) and it has been formatted a whopping six times. Even after formatting with NOTHING installed IE freezes or the whole computer freezes at least once an hour, if not more. Frustrating to say the least, downright impossible to conduct business or schoolwork. Additionally, Sony's technical support is garbage; as is their software. They refuse to admit perhaps the one I have is a lemon and also refuse to give me a new one; instead attempt to "fix it" for some absurd/terrible public relations reason. Do NOT buy this computer.
